Founded in 2017 in Rotterdam, Manhattan Coffee Roasters was built on a simple idea: coffee can be extraordinary. From our roastery in one of Europe’s most dynamic port cities, we seek out coffees that capture the full potential of origin, variety, and processing. Every release is the result of close collaboration with producers, careful roasting, and a shared passion for craftsmanship.

Why Manhattan?
Rotterdam is often called “Manhattan at the Maas.”
As one of the world’s great port cities, Rotterdam has long been shaped by movement, resilience, and creativity — a meeting point for cultures, people, and ideas.
For more than a century, ships traveled between Rotterdam and New York, connecting the two cities through trade and migration. Their skylines, rivers, bridges, and vibrant energy share a striking resemblance.
Our name is a tribute to this connection — a symbol of exploration, exchange, and the movement of ideas across borders.
