through part of the coffee bed. Using a WDT tool helps loosen clumps and makes
the distribution step more repeatable from shot to shot.

After grinding into the portafilter, gently move the needles throughout the
coffee using small, controlled motions. Work through visible clumps and
redistribute the grounds until the bed looks even. Avoid stirring so
aggressively that coffee spills from the basket. Level the surface if needed,
then tamp as usual.
